Computer Experience

Computers are my hobby and career interest.

I know several programming languages and have been involved with these products: Java, C++, SQL, Perl, sh, bash, csh, tcsh, and Pascal; OS's including Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Win95, Win98, Win 3.1, NT 4.0, NT 4.0 Server, OS/2, OS/390 (USS); Apache, CGI Scripting, Java Servlets, JDBC, Perl DBI, Building RPMS for Linux

Ideally what I would like to do with computers is to provide automation solutions and moving, storing, and presenting data.

Athletics

I'm not exactly a "traditional" athletic enthusiest, but I love to be outdoors and water sports...

Water Skiing is Life. End of Story. I love to ski. I've been skiing since I was 3 years old, and slalom (one ski) sking since I was nine. I've enjoy sking so much that I ski when the water is near freezing (buurrrr). I ski on a KD 7000 ski. This model has been used in professional ski competions. If you ever see someone cutting back and forth throwing up a giant spray, it might be me.

Okay, now that you know that I love water skiing, I thought I'd also mention that I also wake board, knee board, and tube. While I'm on the water, I also enjoy to ride Wave Runners and do spinouts and jump waves.

In case you are wondering, I also play tennis, ride bikes, and play some basketball, volleyball, and baseball.

My Views

I use Linux as my primary Operating System. About 90% of my computer use is on Linux (most of the rest is on Solaris) --- I stay as far a way from MicroSoft products and Windows as I possibly can.
